What a stunning venue for a wedding celebration. Rancho Burro is nestled among the sagebrush just outside of Kamloops, and is situated on the cusp of Kamloops Lake. Its expansive views, and Sedona type architecture makes for a beautiful backdrop for not only weddings but for events as well.
Rachelle + Geoff’s wedding day was gorgeous from the start of the wedding day right to the last dance!!! They had a wonderful mix of sun, cloud, rain and a sunset to end the day! They were surrounded by family and friends and in so much love throughout the whole day.
Although I don’t photograph as many weddings in Kamloops as I used to, it was amazing to be in that energy again, and with so many awesome people and vendors!

Those in between moments at weddings will always have my heart. Don’t get me wrong, I love the photos that look like they could be from a magazine, or the ones where everyone looks their best. But, the photos that really get me are the huge laughs, the quiet hand hold, the moments where you are looking at each other and the rest of the world falls away. Those photos that show that connection to the moment are the ones that I am always so happy with when I capture them!
What do you get when you pair an organized bride who knows what she wants and plans all her details so well, with some amazing wedding vendors? So many stunning photo opportunities, and a very happy photographer! Rachelle’s dress, veil and florals really took my breath away! Her dress has so many intricate details and she was totally a vision throughout the day!

This is only a snippet of how many photos I include in my wedding collections. I always say that if it tugs at my hearts strings, it’s going to tug at yours, and I can’t imagine making you choose between a photo of you and your new partner dancing, and your grandma crying. Or not choosing photos of the details throughout the day because you want more photos of the people who were there. Weddings take months and years to plan and execute, and after the last drink is served and all that’s left is a sticky dance floor, you’ll have only the memories and the photos to re-live the day. When choosing a wedding photographer for your big day, make sure you go through a full day gallery (not just the highlights) and be sure to meet with your potential photographer matches! You will spend as much time with your photographer as you will your new partner on your wedding day, so you want to make sure you’re a good fit!
