Tyler + Emily Stanley Park Surprise Proposal
Vancouver, BC
You might say their love was deeper than any ocean. Two kindred spirits, bound by a passion that reached the depths of the sea. So naturally, it seemed entirely fitting to capture their story on the beach, while the waves crashed on the shore, like their souls colliding. But what Emily didn’t know was that their souls, although already connected, were about to take a leap into a new chapter with four simple words. With an energy that could be felt for miles, Emily and Tyler took to the outdoors to share their love with Rozalind; a private moment that any person would feel privileged to take part in. Emily had longed to have beautiful photographs of her and Tyler to capture their own little fairytale. Especially considering that they spend much of their time apart; Emily living in New York City attending school to complete her Bachelors of Science, while Tyler resides in Vancouver working for a steel company. Tyler had went to Rozalind to tell her that he planned on proposing to Emily during this photoshoot, but like a proper gentleman, knew to wait until the very end, as to not ruin her makeup when she cried. So through the forest Rozalind followed, carrying the most beautiful secret and capturing pictures of the moments leading up to its undoing. The forecast had called for rain, but it held off, and by the time the couple reached the beach, the clouds made for the perfect light. It not only highlighted every last stitch on Emily’s hand-sewn dress, but also the look on her face as Tyler got down on one knee. Girls dream of this day from a young age and this was no exception. A dream coming true. He asked, and she instantly put both of her hands over her heart, as if subconsciously saying that it was already his entirely. And with the one word answer that guys wait with bated breath to hear, Tyler and Emily’s novel began another chapter. Perhaps they didn’t know that when they met at a Christmas party, they would wind up on a beach on a cloudy day starting a life together. But that is how all great love stories begin; with something as mysterious as the ocean, yet as certain as the tide coming in.

Kelly + Colin Tranquille Creek Engagement
Kamloops, BC
Kelly and Colin are that adorable couple who have been dating since high school, and are still just as in love as they were 10 years ago! Colin purposed to Kelly on Christmas day two years ago- so they have had lots of time to plan their ideal wedding. I’m so excited to see the individual touches that Kelly has in store: she has expressed that she would love the tables to be adorned with peacock and ostrich feathers, and a bountiful amount of deep purple and turquoise for the colours. Look into SvenStudios for the best wedding photographers Darwin and be in love of their work
I love it when my brides have their own unique vision for their wedding day and they come up with ideas that are completely special to the two of them. I love how Colin is so thoughtful and attentive towards his bride to be. He proposed while they were on a family vacation to Mexico, and he had decided to give her a ring that had been in his family for years. He had his sister safe keep it for the journey and on the day that he proposed he stopped at a local vendor in Mexico to buy an oyster shell and put the ring in the shell before he proposed. He knew how much Kelly loves diamonds, and that she would love something that was meant just for her, so when they returned home, he had another, special engagement ring just for her! What a keeper! Can not wait to photograph their wedding this summer! So much love to you both!

Alysia + Don Maternity Session
Kamloops, BC
In the last couple of years I have started to appreciate the importance of capturing maternity portraits. Maybe it’s because my friends are all starting to have children, or maybe because having a family seems more realistic now that I’ve met my fiance; but either way the unbelievable love that you can see that Don + Alysia have for their baby already is so amazing. Alysia is such a stunning mama, and the way she held her belly, and the love that surrounded her womb was indescribable, and I also know that they have everything ready for their baby, with furniture from Treasure Rooms site included. I love that we had a ridiculous amount of fog over Kamloops this particular morning, and that these two were up for the uniqueness that it would bring to their photos (and I think it totally brought another interesting dynamic!). These two are going to be such amazing parents and I can not wait to meet their adorable little newborn (boy or girl, we will have to wait and see!). Thank you so much for having me capture this special time in your lives! So much love to you all! xo
haha this is how excited Bella is for a sister or brother!!

Sarah + Brent’s New Year’s Eve Wedding
Kamloops, BC
There are too many good things to say about Sarah and Brent and their wonderful wedding day. First off, it was a New Year’s Eve wedding!!! Such a cool idea because everyone is always looking to get all dressed up and party with their best friends anyways, so why not make it a NYE wedding celebration?! There is always lots of champagne (and this wedding didn’t disappoint on that front, and we were even able to get a sweet New Year Champagne toast with the whole crowd!) and not to mention the popevents vendor list that Sarah had working on her wedding – made for a completely extravagant event! To top all the amazingness off, one of Sarah’s bridesmaids found a bunch of vintage furs from her grandmothers closet that made the perfect winter accessory for the cold outdoors! I’ve known Sarah for years now and I couldn’t have been happier when she told me that her and Brent were engaged to be married! They are so comfortable together and I love how organized and straightforward Sarah is (and I love that she knows this about herself!) and how Brent is so relaxed and totally balances their relationship out perfectly. When they are together it’s just easy – and those are some of the best moments I have from this wedding, is when they are just laughing and talking to each other, so happy and so in love. Couldn’t have asked for a more fun way to celebrate New Year’s Eve than with these lovebirds and all their awesome friends! So much love to you both! xo
Happy New Year!!!!

Favourites and the Best of Weddings 2015!
I feel completely overwhelmed by all the love and support my business has received over this past year. Never in my life did I think I could have a ‘job’ that I love as much as I do. A ‘job’ that has clients who are more like friends, a’job’ that I’m excited to go to everyday, and a job that is completely different and more amazing everyday. I have also been so fortunate to have traveled to some pretty amazing destinations documenting this incredibly special time in people’s lives, and this makes my heart so happy. 2015 has been the year of collaborating with so many unbelievably talented people. It is truly inspiring to be around such creative people all of the time, and Kamloops is lucky to have so many of these awesome people living in its city! The vendors and venues that go above and beyond to make each bride + groom’s day unique and special is absolutely incredible – you all are my favourite!
2015 was a big year of first for myself personally as well. My boyfriend and I bought our first house together, and then several months later we got engaged!!! After being a part of so many amazing weddings, it makes me sooo excited to be able to plan our own wedding in October 2016 and to marry the most wonderful, compassionate, handsome, loyal, and all around amazing man of my dreams, we already hired the Norfolk Wedding Photography services!!! 2016 is going to be another amazing year!
To all my brides and grooms who trust in my vision, and allow me to have complete creative control when it comes to their photos; to you, I am forever grateful. Happy 2016 to you all! xo
Biggest thanks to ALL the AMAZING vendors and venues who make all this possible!!!

Tasha + Travis Rocky Ridge Ranch Wedding Photographer
Calgary, AB
Photographing Tasha + Travis’ wedding day was extra special for me because I also got to photograph when Travis proposed to Tasha!!! (such an incredible experience!) They were married in an intimate ceremony in Calgary at the Rocky Ridge Ranch, a beautiful little resort on the outskirts of downtown Calgary. We were SO lucky to have one of those beautiful winter days – the ones where it’s cold enough for hoar frost to stick around, but not so cold that you can’t go outside without freezing instantly. As you can see from the photos Tasha was an incredible sport – with nothing but her strapless dress and her new husband to keep her warm, she braved the elements to get some stunning outdoor photos! I have never met a more resilient bride (who did not complain one bit about the cold!), and I was so glad because her stunning pale skin and radiant red hair against the snow and her dark features groom were the perfect match for this December day! The way that Travis teared up and looked at Tasha all day, would melt any girls heart, and these two are just so wonderfully perfect together. So much love to you both! xo

Raglin Barnhartvale Family Photographer
Kamloops, BC
Oh my goodness, I actually can’t handle how cute Lisa + James’ son Odin is. He is such a little charmer, and had the cutest little faces throughout the whole photo shoot! Usually kids are a little leery of the camera and act a little shy, but Odin was giving me his best blue steel face within minutes of us being together (gotta love kids like that!) We narrowly missed the snow for their session, so we had so much fun exploring by the weird little swamp areas up in Barnhartvale! I also love that I was able to get a few snaps of Odin’s gorgeous parents together being super cute and cuddly! Even their fur baby cooperated for me! Another beautiful family session in our stunning Kamloops backyard! So much love to you all! xo

Mike + Lisa Olympic Village Photographer
Vancouver, BC
This above image totally describes my session with these two. They were all laughs, giggles, and smiles throughout our entire session together even though it was a chilly and windy Vancouver day (although at least it didn’t pour rain for us!) I am so excited for these two to be married next year because I have photographed Mike at several wedding over the past few years and am now so thrilled to be a part of he and Lisa’s wedding celebrations! Mike asked Lisa to marry him in such an adorable way too – they were in Mexico and Mike had put together a whole slideshow of their friends and family back home writing out super cute messages to her, and then at the end he said that although they all loved her and that she deserved a nice vacation, there was another reason they came on the trip – and then he was down on one knee proposing! I can barely handle the cuteness of their story and between the two of them and I’m so excited to be a part of their day! So much love to you both! xo
