When Denica first told me that her and Shawn were getting married in the Riviera Maya I was so excited to possibly photography my first destination wedding – and when she told me that they wanted to bring me to photograph their big day I was ecstatic! Shawn and Denica are the loveliest of people and I was so honored to be a part of their wedding and to share in their love in such a beautiful place! I knew I loved these two when I first met them at Brandi + Mike’s wedding  and then even more when I got to spend the afternoon with the two of them for their engagement session (see those photos here) and I got to see what amazing parents they are to their adorable little boy Mason! I had never been to the Mayan before and it definitely not disappoint! The resort that we stayed at was a beautiful 5* with delicious food and incredibly amazing staff! They couldn’t have picked a more wonderful place to have gotten married at! Having the picturesque blue water in the background of the photos, the colorful buildings and palm trees surrounding the grounds, and the sound of the ocean always in your ears made it for a perfect getaway! Denica actually looked like a movie star throughout her whole day – her stunning facial features radiate a strength and beauty that is indescribable and it was such a delight to photograph her in such amazing settings! Shawn has such a good heart and is truly just fun to be around. His buddies always had something funny to say and it felt like I was a part of the wedding because of how welcoming everyone was! It was such an amazing experience and it made me feel so lucky to have a career where I get to travel and see my unreal clients get married! So so so much love to you both! xo
