Tiana + Craig Winter Engagement Session

Tiana + Craig are so wonderfully amazing! Although they were a tad nervous for their shoot, they allowed me to choose the location, and said they were okay with the snow and the outdoors (so we definitely did the outdoors! – I think at one point we were in snow up to our knees! and they didn’t complain once!!!) When Tiana stepped out of the truck I immediately thought she was a Snow White look alike! Her flawless pale skin, beautiful dark hair and stunning green eyes were perfection against the snowy hillside, and with cute Craig by her side these two couldn’t take a bad photo! We had the bonus entertainment of watching their dog bounce around and chase after snow! I can not wait for their September wedding – it’s going to be such an amazing day! So much love to you both! xo

Oh my goodness, I actually can’t handle how cute Lisa + James’ son Odin is. He is such a little charmer, and had the cutest little faces throughout the whole photo shoot! Usually kids are a little leery of the camera and act a little shy, but Odin was giving me his best blue steel face within minutes of us being together (gotta love kids like that!) We narrowly missed the snow for their session, so we had so much fun exploring by the weird little swamp areas up in Barnhartvale! I also love that I was able to get a few snaps of Odin’s gorgeous parents together being super cute and cuddly! Even their fur baby cooperated for me! Another beautiful family session in our stunning Kamloops backyard! So much love to you all! xo

Corinna + Tony have a super cute love story, and it involves meeting one another while camping with mutual friends – so naturally for their engagement session we decided to incorporate a camping-like lake situation to re-ignite the spark that they first felt for one another :) Cori has the absolute biggest and most beautiful smile I’ve ever seen, you can’t help but smile when you see it and Tony’s quiet, affectionate nature lends well to Cori’s exuberant personality! These two are having their wedding at Silver Star in Vernon next year (and I’m so excited to finally shoot a wedding there, and couldn’t ask for a better couple to share shooting in a new place with!) Stacey and Alexander are so wonderfully adorable together! When I first met the two of them I was so captivated by the way they were together – so affectionate and so loving towards one another (and so flippen good looking!). I love that Alex told me that he knew right away that he wanted to marry Stacey. He had a crush on her since high school and when they both moved back to Kamloops he started messaging her because he knew that he wanted her in his life. A year later he was dropping hints about her ring size and he made a sneaky trip to William’s Lake to ask her parents for her hand in marriage! Their day was exactly how Stacey had envisioned! She had wanted a magical, enchanted forest theme and the whole day was exactly like that! The horticultural gardens were in full bloom, and their reception venue had table top trees, crystals and whimsy all tied in to one! Their cake was especially stunning, with so many intricate details of butterflies, flowers and tiny glass birds! The fact that Stacey wore her mom’s cathedral veil really solidified the amazingness of their day to me! Even though it was as windy as could be in Knutsford these two braved the elements for some amazing photos :) (and nothing could be as cold and windy as their engagement photo day – see those photos here) Thank you so much for having me be a part of your wonderful wedding day!!! xo

Chloe + Al Outdoor Engagement Photographer

I am so beyond excited to be sharing the photos from Al + Chloe’s engagement session, and I am so ecstatic that I get to be a part of their amazing wedding day next year! These two are very good friends of mine, and I always feel so honored when friends choose me to photograph such an important day in their lives! These two are seriously as cute as buttons :) They giggled and laughed and played throughout our whole session, and I love all of the true emotions that came out of them throughout the day! I know Al to be more of a manly man; he’s tall and handsome and well, a man’s man – but he totally embraced the session and was snuggling Chloe in, smiling the biggest at her, and was just so cute towards her the whole session! You can see in the photos that Chloe is absolutely drop dead gorgeous and photographing her was a dream! She is so tiny and cute and just fell in to Al’s arms for some uber romantic photos! She is also one of the sweetest girls I know. These two are just too wonderful together. I love how kind they are to one another and to everyone around them. I have too many good things to say about them both, so I’ll just stop there and say I’m so grateful to be a part of their wedding day, and their lives! So much love to you both! xo

Miss E – Boudoir is sexy and fun

It continues to surprise me how many people still don’t know what Boudoir is – or why you would ever do it! First off, Boudoir Portraits are the equivalent of the modern day Glamour Portraits (but wayyy less cheesy!) and they are all about YOU! Lots of people think that boudoir is associated only with Playboy type shots or pornographic shots – but it couldn’t be further from the truth. Boudoir is about embracing your own inner beauty, your own vixen alter ego, and your own idea of sexiness. It’s about loving who you are, at this moment in your own skin and your own wonderful self. It’s about wearing as much or as little as you’d like and it’s about enjoying what makes you feel like YOU! You will never be this beautiful, this young or in this exact spot in your life again, so why not enjoy it and have something to remember who you were at this stage? I think my favorite part about boudoir is how the women tell me they feel afterwards. They always say what an amazing experience it was and how they will never forget it! They leave confident and happy and excited about themselves! Here’s what beautiful miss E had to say about the experience:

“I can’t speak more highly of Rozalind. I’ve been part of a wedding before that she shot, and I was so excited to find out my hubby had gifted me a boudoir session with her for my birthday. There is something fantastic about an adorable little family who clearly love one another so much. It’s something about the way mom and dad look at each other as their child discovers himself and the pride that beams off of both of them as they think, we created this. Maverick is one of the cutest little boys I’ve ever met, and he was so full of life, energy and wonder that it was so much fun following him around as he explored. One second he would be running around wanting to make sticks in to swords, and the next second he’d be picking up flowers while inspecting them carefully. He was all giggles and smiles even though it was a windy little day for photos! I always love seeing parents with their children; how they interact with them and let them grow in to their own little people. You can tell right away that Shannon + Danny are super cool parents- Shannon has purple streaks in her hair (yay for cool moms!) and Danny didn’t stop throwing Maverick up in the air and making him laugh! It was so lovely hanging out with them all and I loved seeing their family dynamic unfold! So much love to you all! xo

Carly and Marco are such a sweet and adorable couple! Carly’s big brown eyes show what a warm and genuine person she is and Marco’s cute little mischievous grin shows his boyish charm! I think what I love the most about the two of them together is how silly and playful they are. While we were taking photos Marco kept doing the funniest little things to make Carly, and the whole bridal party laugh (and you can see how infectious that laughter was in the one group shot!) I also loved how their love of hockey was incorporated throughout the day; they had a huge faux hockey rink as the dance floor and they had playoff towels to wave throughout the reception. Although the Canucks did not win the playoff game, it was as though they had with the all the energy in the room. Everyone laughed and danced until the wee hours and it was the most beautiful day for an April wedding. Love these two lovebirds so much and had so much fun being a part of their day! xo

Jessica + Nick Engagement Photographer

Jessica and Nick are definitely the dream couple: they are so passionately in love, so hilarious, so playful and so good looking! Because they have three adorable little kids we decided to break up their session in to two parts, half family session and half engagement session. Their kids are bundles of joy! They were energetic and cooperative and they had a blast just being themselves! Ezra really loved blowing big bubbles in to the wind, Carter was a little ham in front of the camera and he had so much personality and Tessa was so much like her mom, beautiful and full of life! Jessica and Nick are the best combination of silly and romantic – they couldn’t stop laughing at each other and they were constantly saying funny things to one another; but then they would have these moments where the world seemed to stop and they would look at each other and everything else would just fade away. I’ve been really loving the wind lately and it totally worked in our favor for this session as it blew Jessica’s dresses in just the right way and gave her hair just the right amount of movement for the photos. It’s sessions and connections like these that absolutely blow me away! Can’t wait for their wedding! So much love to you all! xo
