What do you get when you find two people who love skiing as much as they love one another? Lots of laughs, lots of snow and lots of colorful ski gear! Kris + Tyler absolutely love skiing together, and it was so cute hearing them talk about their different gear that they love, and all the different places in the world that they want to ski (Japan being the next on their list!) I loved that throughout the whole session, they had so much fun together! They tried to poke each other with their ski rods, they threw snow at one another, and they had no problem trekking through piles of snow up to our knees to get to a good spot! I know they will lead an exciting, adventure filled life together and I wish them both the very best!

Scott + Ashley Winter Snow Engagement

It seems like so long ago that we had this much snow in the mountains, but I was so glad to have it looking like a perfect Winter wonderland for this adorable engagement session! I could not be happier for these two to be getting married as they’ve been together for years, and are now living together and going to University in Ontario! Scott is such a funny guy and I’ve had the pleasure of photographing him in another wedding and was delighted to photograph him and his fiancee! Ashley is not only beautiful, but she’s also one of the sweetest people ever! She is tall and stunning, and she has the most wonderful beaming smile when Scott cracks jokes! These two are so cute together, and so in love that I barely had to tell them to snuggle in together to keep warm in the cold surroundings. There is something so inviting about a cold winter day to really warm a session up! Can’t wait for these two lovebirds to tie the knot! So much love to you both! xo
After I made them throw snow everywhere I figured I should be nice, so we went inside by the Christmas tree so that they could cuddle and warm up!

There are literally no words to say how amazing Nick + Sandra’s wedding day was. These two are so fantastically perfect for one another and anyone who knows them knows that they both value family above all else, and that they love each other, their friends and family and their dog Rocky more than anything! To say that Sandra epitomized a Polish Princess on their wedding day would be an understatement. She was all praise for the bridal store that rocketed her to the top of the world. From her gorgeous porcelain skin, to her ballgown wedding dress, to her cathedral veil to her big eyes all down to her wonderful big smile, she blew everyone away with her beauty! I’ve known Nick for quite some time now and if you don’t know him he comes across as the strong and silent type. He’s incredibly smart, and he always has an intelligent thing to say and the knowledge to back it up! But when you get to know him, you see his silly side come out and his smile and laugh would make anyone light up! Together these two are going to be a powerhouse couple, with their good looks, their brains and their loving personalities. I don’t think I need to even say anything about their ceremony + reception venue amazingness because it totally speaks for itself. I will say that the man behind it all, Anthony Salituro completely outdid himself! The florals were the most spectacular thing I’ve ever seen, and I will never forget walking in to the ballroom and smelling the fragrance of thousands of small bouquets from the flower delivery in Clear Lake surrounding me! Every detail from the cake, the candles, the draping, the cherubs, the flowers (gotta mention those twice) was utter perfection. It was a wonderful day with even more wonderful people and I couldn’t have been more thankful to have been a part of it! Thank you for choosing me to capture your special day!! Ann-Kathrin + Justin The Grand Wedding Photographer

Where do I begin with Ann-Kathrin & Justin’s Sun Peaks wedding day? Do I talk about Ann-Kathrin’s (AK) ridiculously amazing (and always huge) smile that brightens up any room? Or with the way that Justin looked at his bride all day, with so much love and admiration? Maybe I can just say that these two are so flippen awesome! Their day was so much fun, and nothing was stopping them from having a good time – even the hail downpour that moved their ceremony indoors at the last minute. A little rain couldn’t scare these two away, because they were just happy to be marrying one another! The rain stayed away long enough for us to do a bunch of great photos outdoors, and even though she was wearing an amazing ball gown wedding dress, AK was in knee deep in tall wet grasses without even a peep of a complaint in no time (totally my kind of bride!) I can’t say enough good things about these two, and I wish them all the happiness in the world together! I was so honoured to be a part of their intimate wedding that was absolutely overflowing with love! xo
The story behind this watch is incredible. I love amazing traditions like this! Ann-Kathrin’s dad gave this to Justin during his speech: this pocket watch has been passed down throughout the years, and has each of the men in the family who have owned it engraved on the chainlink. So special and so personal!

Sarah + Tyler Sun Peaks Engagement Photographer

Sarah and Tyler are seriously the cutest couple ever! Tyler is a romantic through and through and when I heard their story I instantly fell in love with both of them! On their first date they went for dinner and then walked around the park to star gaze (bonus points Tyler!) On their one year anniversary he put the guys in movies to shame, as he replicated their first date in the cutest way possible! With the help of her parents (Sarah’s dad is also a photographer and is always taking photos) after going out for dinner they came home to just hang out and play some games – but when they got home Sarah’s dad asked if he could take a few photos of them outside because it was their one year anniversary (this wasn’t out of the ordinary for him to have such a request so Sarah thought nothing of it!) Tyler had set up the backyard with hanging lights and mason jars with candles and a curtain that fell down and said Marry Me! He also had her stunning Grandmother’s ring to propose with (which was also a complete surprise!) But after meeting Sarah and seeing how unbelievably sweet and kind and adorable she is you realize why Tyler is so head over heels for her! These two are just a bundle of love and spending the snowy afternoon at Sun Peaks with them was so much fun! I can’t wait for their wedding – it’s going to be magical! So much love to you both! xo

I was so excited when Amanda first messaged me about her engagement photos because I had met her when she was a bridesmaid for another wedding and she was such a sweetheart and I was so happy to hear that she was engaged! Because her and Shaun are getting married in Hawaii they decided to do their photos in the winter to have a nice contrast in their photos! It was definitely a chilly day up at Sun Peaks for outdoor pictures, but they braved the cold and we ended up having so much fun playing around in the snow! Sun Peaks was definitely a winter wonderland and was so magical with the fog and the sun peaking through! I absolutely loved Amanda’s colorful red jacket against the white snow: it really made her beautiful eyes and skin pop! I loved spending the morning with these two, and am so excited for them to celebrate their wedding in sunny Hawaii!! So much love to you both!

How can you go wrong when a family has a gorgeous mom and dad, 4 adorable kids, their grandma, a pony(!), a dog, and some sheep? My answer is you can’t! I had so much fun getting to know this family during their session! Their property is just outside of Kamloops and is stunning! I was lucky to have cute little Jackson helping me pick out some awesome spots for their shoot – although their surroundings are so fantastic that no matter where you looked there were amazing photo opportunities! I loved how many laughs were shared between all of these cuties, and how great the kids were – I guess that’s what happens when your parents are both Principals! I also loved the affectionate way that mom and dad looked at one another when I stole them away to do a few of just the two of them! This was a fantastic way to spend a sunny afternoon and I couldn’t have asked for a better family to spend it with, thank you for choosing me to be your photographer! So much love to you all! xo

Allie & Tyler Engagement

When Allie first messaged me about her idea to do an Alice in Wonderland themed engagement shoot my mind instantly started racing. There were so many options for ideas, but I knew for certain I wanted a white rabbit, some keys, white roses painted red and a few other odds and ends. What I was even more excited about was that Allie and I were on the same page and she had SO many amazing ideas too! Honestly, not even a day after the initial email, she messaged me saying she had gotten pretty much all of the props! Yay! I was getting so excited to help create this whimsical and magical shoot! They had both just visited Sun Peaks for the first time, and had both fallen in love with it, so we decided that a Alice in “Winter” Wonderland theme would be an awesome twist! I was so pumped to meet these two lovelies in person by the time the shoot actually rolled around :) Allie is a bundle of cuteness, amazing energy, creativity, brains and incredible beauty. Tyler is also ridiculously adorable (and of course handsome), the best sport ever, über smart and oh so wonderful with Allie! I love that they met in Med School and are both doing their residency to be Surgeons! Beauty and brains for these two, that’s for sure! What I also loved so much was Allie’s custom flower engagement ring that Tyler designed for her – and she says it is more perfect than she ever could have imagined – they are definitely compliment one another so well! We had so so so much fun falling in to huge snow banks (it was ridiculously deep in some spots) having a real live white rabbit make an appearance (yay Chester!), painting roses red, and walking around Sun Peaks (even though it got pretty cold out these two were such troopers!) You make such a fantastic couple, and I feel so lucky to have been a part of your amazing engagement shoot! So much love to you both! xo
