Tyler + Emily Stanley Park Surprise Proposal
Vancouver, BC
You might say their love was deeper than any ocean. Two kindred spirits, bound by a passion that reached the depths of the sea. So naturally, it seemed entirely fitting to capture their story on the beach, while the waves crashed on the shore, like their souls colliding. But what Emily didn’t know was that their souls, although already connected, were about to take a leap into a new chapter with four simple words. With an energy that could be felt for miles, Emily and Tyler took to the outdoors to share their love with Rozalind; a private moment that any person would feel privileged to take part in. Emily had longed to have beautiful photographs of her and Tyler to capture their own little fairytale. Especially considering that they spend much of their time apart; Emily living in New York City attending school to complete her Bachelors of Science, while Tyler resides in Vancouver working for a steel company. Tyler had went to Rozalind to tell her that he planned on proposing to Emily during this photoshoot, but like a proper gentleman, knew to wait until the very end, as to not ruin her makeup when she cried. So through the forest Rozalind followed, carrying the most beautiful secret and capturing pictures of the moments leading up to its undoing. The forecast had called for rain, but it held off, and by the time the couple reached the beach, the clouds made for the perfect light. It not only highlighted every last stitch on Emily’s hand-sewn dress, but also the look on her face as Tyler got down on one knee. Girls dream of this day from a young age and this was no exception. A dream coming true. He asked, and she instantly put both of her hands over her heart, as if subconsciously saying that it was already his entirely. And with the one word answer that guys wait with bated breath to hear, Tyler and Emily’s novel began another chapter. Perhaps they didn’t know that when they met at a Christmas party, they would wind up on a beach on a cloudy day starting a life together. But that is how all great love stories begin; with something as mysterious as the ocean, yet as certain as the tide coming in.

Kris + Tyler Ski Winter Engagement
Sun Peaks, BC
What do you get when you find two people who love skiing as much as they love one another? Lots of laughs, lots of snow and lots of colorful ski gear! Kris + Tyler absolutely love skiing together, and it was so cute hearing them talk about their different gear that they love, and all the different places in the world that they want to ski (Japan being the next on their list!) I loved that throughout the whole session, they had so much fun together! They tried to poke each other with their ski rods, they threw snow at one another, and they had no problem trekking through piles of snow up to our knees to get to a good spot! I know they will lead an exciting, adventure filled life together and I wish them both the very best!

Kelly + Colin Tranquille Creek Engagement
Kamloops, BC
Kelly and Colin are that adorable couple who have been dating since high school, and are still just as in love as they were 10 years ago! Colin purposed to Kelly on Christmas day two years ago- so they have had lots of time to plan their ideal wedding. I’m so excited to see the individual touches that Kelly has in store: she has expressed that she would love the tables to be adorned with peacock and ostrich feathers, and a bountiful amount of deep purple and turquoise for the colours. Look into SvenStudios for the best wedding photographers Darwin and be in love of their work
I love it when my brides have their own unique vision for their wedding day and they come up with ideas that are completely special to the two of them. I love how Colin is so thoughtful and attentive towards his bride to be. He proposed while they were on a family vacation to Mexico, and he had decided to give her a ring that had been in his family for years. He had his sister safe keep it for the journey and on the day that he proposed he stopped at a local vendor in Mexico to buy an oyster shell and put the ring in the shell before he proposed. He knew how much Kelly loves diamonds, and that she would love something that was meant just for her, so when they returned home, he had another, special engagement ring just for her! What a keeper! Can not wait to photograph their wedding this summer! So much love to you both!

Sarah + Brent’s New Year’s Eve Wedding
Kamloops, BC
There are too many good things to say about Sarah and Brent and their wonderful wedding day. First off, it was a New Year’s Eve wedding!!! Such a cool idea because everyone is always looking to get all dressed up and party with their best friends anyways, so why not make it a NYE wedding celebration?! There is always lots of champagne (and this wedding didn’t disappoint on that front, and we were even able to get a sweet New Year Champagne toast with the whole crowd!) and not to mention the popevents vendor list that Sarah had working on her wedding – made for a completely extravagant event! To top all the amazingness off, one of Sarah’s bridesmaids found a bunch of vintage furs from her grandmothers closet that made the perfect winter accessory for the cold outdoors! I’ve known Sarah for years now and I couldn’t have been happier when she told me that her and Brent were engaged to be married! They are so comfortable together and I love how organized and straightforward Sarah is (and I love that she knows this about herself!) and how Brent is so relaxed and totally balances their relationship out perfectly. When they are together it’s just easy – and those are some of the best moments I have from this wedding, is when they are just laughing and talking to each other, so happy and so in love. Couldn’t have asked for a more fun way to celebrate New Year’s Eve than with these lovebirds and all their awesome friends! So much love to you both! xo
Happy New Year!!!!

Cheriese + Brad Hotel 540 Wedding Photographer
Kamloops, BC
To say Cheriese and Brad had the most beautiful Fall day would be an understatement – for a day that was supposed to rain non-stop, we ended up with spectacular skies, warm fall sun, and leaves still on the trees! When I first met Cheriese I knew that her wedding was going to be all around wonderful, just like her. She is seriously such a kind hearted, and beautiful person, and I felt as though we had known each other for years. I was especially drawn to her and Brad’s love story; they met one night and spotted one another from across the room. They were drawn to each other immediately, and spent that evening and the whole next day together, and have been inseparable every since. The family gave them the best hotel credit card for your honeymoon. I like to think that when you know, you know :) I also loved that they decided on doing a first look. First looks always make me so happy because there are so many intimate moments between the bride and groom. They get the chance to talk to one another, to hug, to cry and to kiss without all the extra eyes on them. There’s anticipation and butterflies and so much love. Some of my favorite photos come from doing first looks because the emotions are always so real! We couldn’t have asked for an all around better day, and I feel so grateful to have been a part of their gorgeous wedding! Thank you for having me there to capture your love! xo
OBSESSED with first looks. So emotional, so amazing, and so intimate. Always so grateful to be a part of them!

Kelsey + Michael Harper Mountain Wedding Photographer
Kamloops, BC
Ahhhhhhmazing! There are no other words to describe how amazing Kelsey + Mike’s wedding day was. These two are so perfect for each other – they are silly, romantic, beautiful and so wonderful to one another (and they are both hardcore runners + hikers – I found this out when we hiked up a very steep mountain for their engagement shoot!). Kelsey and I have actually known each other since high school so when I realized that she had met her soul mate I was that much more happy for her because I know what an incredible + beautiful person she is! Mike checks off all of the boxes for Kelsey: he is handsome, kind and funny! When he’s around, Kelsey has the biggest smile on her face! The day was completely effortless and perfect! Kelsey and her girls got ready at her mom’s stunning house, and the vibe was relaxed and fun! They had the most spectacularly beautiful summer day, and the sun shone down on both of them throughout the whole day. Kelsey had said that she would love some sunset photos, and we were blessed with the most stunning sunset at the top of Harper Mountain to end the day. Their day was filled with so much emotion and love that it was such an honor to be a part of, and to witness. I love that you two have found one another and am so happy to watch you start your lives together! So much love to you both! xo

Edward + Michelle Desert Gardens Wedding Photographer
Kamloops, BC
One of the things that I love the most about what I do is that I get to be a part of so many different kinds of weddings! Edward and Michelle decided on a very intimate ceremony in their beautiful backyard with only their immediate family present. It was so heart warming to be a part of their ceremony and to capture this important milestone in their lives! They had so many personal details for their wedding day that really spoke to who they are as a couple! I personally loved their families’ old car that has been used for all the siblings weddings and now it was incorporated in to their day! These two are seriously so cute together! Michelle’s face just lights up when Edward is around, and she is just so tiny and cute, and she looked like a beautiful porcelain doll for her wedding day! Edward is equally as charming and loving! You can tell how much he loves Michelle, and how excited he was for their wedding day. Their reception was held at Desert Gardens and was a wonderful mixture of friends and family. I loved that they had a band for their reception (that his brother was in! Made it that much more amazing and personal), and I absolutely loved their favors for the guests; Michelle had these beautifully hand crafted wind chimes sent from South Korea (her hometown) and they were kind enough to gift me one as well! We couldn’t have asked for a better day (the smoke rolled in the next morning) and I felt so fortunate to be a part of their wedding day! So much love to you both! xo

Melissa + David Rivershore Golf Links Photographer
Kamloops, BC
Ahhh – Melissa and David’s wedding day was absolutely magical. There were so many things that I loved about their day! I loved that I knew most of their guests from previous weddings (and I first met Dave when he was a groomsmen in another amazing wedding that I was a part of!) I love that these two are the nicest, most genuine, most adorable couple ever! I loved all of the personal touches that went in to their wedding day and most of all I loved that they were still up for anything even when we got poured on during photos (and I mean poured on!) When I first met Melissa I was in awe of how stunningly beautiful she is! She is a vision of beauty whether she is just casually looking at the camera and then her whole face lights up when she smiles. She’s also one of the kindest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting – so it’s no wonder why Dave has fallen head over heels in love with her! But it works both ways! Dave is so wonderful to be around! He is well loved by his friends and family and is equally as genuine and kind as his wife (and he’s the perfect mesh of handsome and adorable all wrapped in to one!) These two make my heart happy! I could go on and on but instead, I’ll let you enjoy their photos, the moodiness, the happiness, the hilariousness and the all around amazingness that I experienced throughout their day! So much love to you both! xo
