Travel Photography – Honeymoon

Traveling is probably one of my favorite things in this world to do. Normally I travel by myself (mostly because I work for myself and like to travel at a fast pace), but this time I was lucky enough to have my husband by my side! Kyle and I decided to do Europe for our honeymoon and we basically each chose a couple of spots we really wanted to see and filled in the blanks wherever the trains stopped in between! We decided to go during Christmas and New Years (because we are both self employed and we able to take off during both our slow seasons! Despite it being “winter” in Europe, it was nothing compared to our normal Kamloops winter and we were surprised with mostly beautiful weather!

Oh my goodness, I actually can’t handle how cute Lisa + James’ son Odin is. He is such a little charmer, and had the cutest little faces throughout the whole photo shoot! Usually kids are a little leery of the camera and act a little shy, but Odin was giving me his best blue steel face within minutes of us being together (gotta love kids like that!) We narrowly missed the snow for their session, so we had so much fun exploring by the weird little swamp areas up in Barnhartvale! I also love that I was able to get a few snaps of Odin’s gorgeous parents together being super cute and cuddly! Even their fur baby cooperated for me! Another beautiful family session in our stunning Kamloops backyard! So much love to you all! xo

I absolutely LOVE these girls. I have had the pleasure of knowing their family (through my family), and watching the girls grow from babies to beautiful young ladies. We had such a wonderful day shooting out in the brisk weather, and these girls are always full of smiles and tons of laughter! I literally can not take a bad photo of these stunning girls, and I love how their mom looks like a sister in the group (and I’m also in love with their families newest addition, Leia, a rambunctious little frenchie). The best part is that they are all so kind, wonderful and genuine people, and I love the bond that they all have with one another. I can’t wait to continue to watch your family flourish! Deena + Shawn are so amazingly adorable as a couple! I’ve known Deena for a long time now, as she and my sister grew up together loving horses, and the outdoors. When I first met Shawn I knew he was such a great match for Deena. He is also an outdoorsy guy, and has this endearing demeanor about him. What I loved most was every time he gave her a little sideways glance or smile, her smile would get even bigger (if that’s even possible) and the would just radiate love and respect for one another! Deena has the most incredible smile and it’s hard not to smile too just looking at her! They have the most incredible property right outside their back door in Salmon Arm. so it was only fitting to check it out and do a few preliminary shots there – and wow, it’s exactly like a FernGully enchanted forest! I love that these two are up for anything, and I can not wait for their wedding next year! So much love to you both! xo

The weather could not have been more perfect for Lori and Matt’s October wedding day out at the South Thompson Inn! The sun was shining from morning to night, and was such a wonderful addition to their already amazing day! These two are so ridiculously sweet and kind and are so great together! Matt always has the biggest smile on his face (and if it was possible, it was even bigger when he was around Lori) and he is all around fantastic! Lori is as cute as a button, and is always so loving and sweet! She glowed the entire day and also wore the biggest smile whenever she was around Matt! I loved that all of their friends and family traveled to be there for their wedding day and you could feel the immense love that surrounded them throughout the entire day! I was so honored to have been a part of such a wonderful day and I wish these two all the happiness in the world!!! So much love to you both! xo

I am so beyond excited to be sharing the photos from Al + Chloe’s engagement session, and I am so ecstatic that I get to be a part of their amazing wedding day next year! These two are very good friends of mine, and I always feel so honored when friends choose me to photograph such an important day in their lives! These two are seriously as cute as buttons :) They giggled and laughed and played throughout our whole session, and I love all of the true emotions that came out of them throughout the day! I know Al to be more of a manly man; he’s tall and handsome and well, a man’s man – but he totally embraced the session and was snuggling Chloe in, smiling the biggest at her, and was just so cute towards her the whole session! You can see in the photos that Chloe is absolutely drop dead gorgeous and photographing her was a dream! She is so tiny and cute and just fell in to Al’s arms for some uber romantic photos! She is also one of the sweetest girls I know. These two are just too wonderful together. I love how kind they are to one another and to everyone around them. I have too many good things to say about them both, so I’ll just stop there and say I’m so grateful to be a part of their wedding day, and their lives! So much love to you both! xo

Ahhh – Melissa and David’s wedding day was absolutely magical. There were so many things that I loved about their day! I loved that I knew most of their guests from previous weddings (and I first met Dave when he was a groomsmen in another amazing wedding that I was a part of!) I love that these two are the nicest, most genuine, most adorable couple ever! I loved all of the personal touches that went in to their wedding day and most of all I loved that they were still up for anything even when we got poured on during photos (and I mean poured on!) When I first met Melissa I was in awe of how stunningly beautiful she is! She is a vision of beauty whether she is just casually looking at the camera and then her whole face lights up when she smiles. She’s also one of the kindest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting – so it’s no wonder why Dave has fallen head over heels in love with her! But it works both ways! Dave is so wonderful to be around! He is well loved by his friends and family and is equally as genuine and kind as his wife (and he’s the perfect mesh of handsome and adorable all wrapped in to one!) These two make my heart happy! I could go on and on but instead, I’ll let you enjoy their photos, the moodiness, the happiness, the hilariousness and the all around amazingness that I experienced throughout their day! Jackie + Joe Little Fort Outdoor Wedding

Jackie + Joe are really adorable people! Having only met them once before, for their engagement session, I knew these things about them for sure: that they had a lot of fun together (they never stopped smiling and giggling together), they were super easy going, and they were a ridiculously cute couple. I knew from their engagement shoot that their wedding day would be carefree, fun and beautiful, and I was right! Their ceremony location was so amazing – set in the middle of a secluded field with a little creek in the background, big beautiful trees surrounding them, and tall wispy grasses blowing in the breeze. What a perfect setting! It was so wonderful being a part of their lovely wedding day – so much love to you both! xo

Colleen + Brent Sunset Ranch Wedding Photographer

Colleen + Brent are so many things. They are a fantastic couple, they are wonderful people, they are so much fun and they are so good looking! I first met the two of them over a Skype conversation while they were living in Inuvik, and I knew that I would love being a part of their wedding! Brent’s proposal was unbelievably creative and came as a complete surprise to Colleen! They had both attended a wedding in another part of the country and after she was coming home to Kamloops to spend some time with friend’s and family, while Brent had to go back to Inuvik to work… or so she thought! Instead he had a whole plan laid out. Colleen’s best friend told her that she won a free night at Quaaout Lodge and that they should go out there and have a relaxing girl’s night! When they got there Brent had lit candles everywhere in the room and he was there with a heartfelt speech and proposed! He also got her best friend to record the proposal because he knew she had always wanted a recording of it! What a guy!!! Colleen is so deserving to have found such a wonderful man – she is quite possibly one of the sweetest people I have ever met and she is so organized, thoughtful and kind (and I love that I now call her a friend as well :) Together these two are going to have a life that is as stunning as their wedding day was! Their whole day was so laid back, fun and perfect! Thank you both so much for choosing me to photograph your big day! So much love to you both! xo
