In the last couple of years I have started to appreciate the importance of capturing maternity portraits. Maybe it’s because my friends are all starting to have children, or maybe because having a family seems more realistic now that I’ve met my fiance; but either way the unbelievable love that you can see that Don + Alysia have for their baby already is so amazing. Alysia is such a stunning mama, and the way she held her belly, and the love that surrounded her womb was indescribable, and I also know that they have everything ready for their baby, with furniture from Treasure Rooms site included. I love that we had a ridiculous amount of fog over Kamloops this particular morning, and that these two were up for the uniqueness that it would bring to their photos (and I think it totally brought another interesting dynamic!). These two are going to be such amazing parents and I can not wait to meet their adorable little newborn (boy or girl, we will have to wait and see!). When I first met Bre + Matt they told me that they were born in the wrong era. It’s one of the many things that I like about the two of them because I also feel as though I was born in the wrong era! They are completely unique, and they both have super rad personalities. I love that they like old cars, guns, and tattoos (Bre’s arm of portraits is one of the most spectacular works of art I’ve ever seen), and they have a Husky and a Pomeranian as pets (I love Pomeranians!). To top it all off, they rented the Tranquille Farm Fresh grounds for us to shoot their engagement photos on so that they would have something a little different than everyone else. You have to love that! I’m also sure you’ll notice that Bre is stunningly beautiful and Matt is so ruggedly handsome – could these two get any better? We spent the afternoon taking photos in front of the old buildings, the corn fields, and the incredible back country of the property that has views, fields, a creek and more! These two give me the feels, and I am so stoked to be a part of their engagement photos and their wedding day! So much love to you both! xo
The weather could not have been more perfect for Lori and Matt’s October wedding day out at the South Thompson Inn! The sun was shining from morning to night, and was such a wonderful addition to their already amazing day! These two are so ridiculously sweet and kind and are so great together! Matt always has the biggest smile on his face (and if it was possible, it was even bigger when he was around Lori) and he is all around fantastic! Lori is as cute as a button, and is always so loving and sweet! She glowed the entire day and also wore the biggest smile whenever she was around Matt! I loved that all of their friends and family traveled to be there for their wedding day and you could feel the immense love that surrounded them throughout the entire day! I was so honored to have been a part of such a wonderful day and I wish these two all the happiness in the world!!! So much love to you both! xo

Kelly and Paul are effortless together! They have this relaxed and calming air about them, and they are both such ridiculously kind people. I loved them both since the first moment that I met them – they are just all around fun people to be around; and their wedding day reflected the kind of people that they are :) They had only close family and friends there to witness the day and you could feel the immense love surrounding them throughout the whole wedding! I especially love it when brides and grooms opt for the “First Look” photos. For the people who still aren’t sure of what this is – but it’s when you do your creative portraits with the bride and groom and the bridal party before the actual ceremony. It’s a little less traditional, but it is so incredibly amazing for photos (and makes the whole day feel a little bit more relaxed). Kelly + Paul’s first look was so wonderful. Because Tobiano means so much to the two of them (and because their ceremony + reception were out there) it was only fitting to incorporate the incredible scenery in to their photos. The spots we chose for photos were so indescribably beautiful and serene and made for the most romantic and heartfelt first look and bridal party photos. I also love that it was pouring rain in the morning and it stopped for the day so that they could have what they envisioned – people outside by the fire, guests playing games on the lawn, and their first dance outside under the stars!
