Alysia + Don Maternity Session
Kamloops, BC

In the last couple of years I have started to appreciate the importance of capturing maternity portraits. Maybe it’s because my friends are all starting to have children, or maybe because having a family seems more realistic now that I’ve met my fiance; but either way the unbelievable love that you can see that Don + Alysia have for their baby already is so amazing. Alysia is such a stunning mama, and the way she held her belly, and the love that surrounded her womb was indescribable, and I also know that they have everything ready for their baby, with furniture from Treasure Rooms site included. I love that we had a ridiculous amount of fog over Kamloops this particular morning, and that these two were up for the uniqueness that it would bring to their photos (and I think it totally brought another interesting dynamic!). These two are going to be such amazing parents and I can not wait to meet their adorable little newborn (boy or girl, we will have to wait and see!). Thank you so much for having me capture this special time in your lives! So much love to you all! xo

Angela + Cooper Kamloops Family Photographer

I first met Angela through a mutual friend and although we only hung out for a little bit I knew she was someone who had a wonderful soul and good energy. We met again when I photographed her head shots for Flourish Mind and Body Wellness Centre and again I got a good vibe from her. When she asked me to photograph her and her son Cooper I was excited because I absolutely love family sessions. When I realized that Angela had a teenage son, I was blown away because she barely looks old enough to have a newborn!! I had a lot of fun just watching them joke around with one another (Cooper definitely had a few tricks up his sleeve for making his mom laugh!) and play with their energetic dog! We managed to find some beautiful locations, especially the hoar frost that blanketed just one portion of the road as we were driving up Rose Hill. They were great sports with all my ideas and I loved getting to hang out with them both and just getting to know them both better. So much love to you both! xo

Lam Family

What a beautiful fall day it was to spend with this lovely family! The light was perfect, and it wrapped around the trees and it sun kissed these three lovely girls throughout our whole session together. I love the bond between sisters and the bond between mother and daughter, so this session made my heart so happy. I’ve never had two little girls who were so excited for a photoshoot as these ones were -Sophia (the eldest daughter) is such a natural beauty – she has such a playful side to her and loved being in front of the camera! She was a cute little goofball who also liked riling up her sister! You could see how much Mya (the youngest) looked up to her and it reminded me of how my sister and I played when we were younger! Mya was also a natural in front of the camera (and especially for her age!) and she was up for any spot I picked for her! I loved that she had such a calm and collected aura about her for such a little girl. You can see where these girls get their good looks from and why they are so well mannered and evenly tempered: their mom is stunning and is such a wonderful lady!! She has beautiful European features and in a few years, I think she will be mistaken for the girls’ sister instead of their mom! I absolutely loved my afternoon with these girls and hope that they cherish these photos together for years to come! xo

I love this photo so much, I think that this is one that both these girls will have on their mantles when they are older!
