Tiana + Craig are so wonderfully amazing! Although they were a tad nervous for their shoot, they allowed me to choose the location, and said they were okay with the snow and the outdoors (so we definitely did the outdoors! – I think at one point we were in snow up to our knees! and they didn’t complain once!!!) When Tiana stepped out of the truck I immediately thought she was a Snow White look alike! Her flawless pale skin, beautiful dark hair and stunning green eyes were perfection against the snowy hillside, and with cute Craig by her side these two couldn’t take a bad photo! We had the bonus entertainment of watching their dog bounce around and chase after snow! I can not wait for their September wedding – it’s going to be such an amazing day! So much love to you both! xo

Corinna + Tony have a super cute love story, and it involves meeting one another while camping with mutual friends – so naturally for their engagement session we decided to incorporate a camping-like lake situation to re-ignite the spark that they first felt for one another :) Cori has the absolute biggest and most beautiful smile I’ve ever seen, you can’t help but smile when you see it and Tony’s quiet, affectionate nature lends well to Cori’s exuberant personality! These two are having their wedding at Silver Star in Vernon next year (and I’m so excited to finally shoot a wedding there, and couldn’t ask for a better couple to share shooting in a new place with!) Can’t wait for your wedding day you two lovebirds! So much love to you both! xo

To say Cheriese and Brad had the most beautiful Fall day would be an understatement – for a day that was supposed to rain non-stop, we ended up with spectacular skies, warm fall sun, and leaves still on the trees! When I first met Cheriese I knew that her wedding was going to be all around wonderful, just like her. She is seriously such a kind hearted, and beautiful person, and I felt as though we had known each other for years. I was especially drawn to her and Brad’s love story; they met one night and spotted one another from across the room. They were drawn to each other immediately, and spent that evening and the whole next day together, and have been inseparable every since. The family gave them the best hotel credit card for your honeymoon. I like to think that when you know, you know :) I also loved that they decided on doing a first look. First looks always make me so happy because there are so many intimate moments between the bride and groom. They get the chance to talk to one another, to hug, to cry and to kiss without all the extra eyes on them. There’s anticipation and butterflies and so much love. Some of my favorite photos come from doing first looks because the emotions are always so real! We couldn’t have asked for an all around better day, and I feel so grateful to have been a part of their gorgeous wedding! Thank you for having me there to capture your love! xo

The love and beauty that surrounded Jessica + Taylor’s day was so amazing. These two radiate kindness, and together they are beacons of positivity and faith and the energy between them is immense. Their ceremony and reception were held at Linden Gardens in Penticton, and they could not have chosen a venue that was more representative of the two of them. The nature, the greenery, the quietness of the spot was all indicative of how these are together. Every moment of their wedding day was like being in a magical wonderland! Even though the whole Okanagan was smoky from wildfires, we couldn’t have asked for a better day weather wise and they embraced it with open arms! There was a calm breeze that blew through the treetops, while there was still a perfect warmth to the day (and no rain!) Whether Jess + Taylor were alone, or surrounded by friends and family these two couldn’t wipe the huge grins off their faces (and Jessica has the absolute best smile!). Their ceremony was so heartfelt and genuine, just like the two of them. I seriously couldn’t have asked for a better couple to have spent the day with, and I am so grateful to have met these beautiful people! I now consider Jess a good friend, and can not wait to see her and Taylor’s relationship continue to grow and flourish! So so so much love to you both! Jess you were such a stunning bride and Taylor, you couldn’t be more of a sweetheart if you tried! xoxo

Sarah and Tyler are such an absolutely fantastic couple. This is probably because they are such wonderful people as well! Their wedding day was filled with so many personal, hand crafted, amazing touches that you could just feel the love from every single detail of their wedding. Anyone who knows me knows that I love love. I love the way that a couple talks to one another, the way that they look at one another, and the way they are themselves with one another. I have been so lucky to have been a part of so many unbelievable weddings, and Sarah and Tyler’s was no different. The moment Sarah walked in to the ceremony to her favourite song from Pride and Prejudice brought tears to Tyler’s face, and the way he looked at her while their friends sang to the two of them made me tear up as well! He gazed so affectionately and so lovingly at his new bride that it made me so happy for them to have found one another. I love that they were blessed with a beautiful day for their wedding and that the day went off seamlessly! I can’t wait to watch their love continue to grow and I feel so fortunate and grateful to have been a part of their day to capture their love! I wish you two lovebirds all the happiness in the world! xo

Carly and Marco are such a sweet and adorable couple! Carly’s big brown eyes show what a warm and genuine person she is and Marco’s cute little mischievous grin shows his boyish charm! I think what I love the most about the two of them together is how silly and playful they are. While we were taking photos Marco kept doing the funniest little things to make Carly, and the whole bridal party laugh (and you can see how infectious that laughter was in the one group shot!) I also loved how their love of hockey was incorporated throughout the day; they had a huge faux hockey rink as the dance floor and they had playoff towels to wave throughout the reception. Although the Canucks did not win the playoff game, it was as though they had with the all the energy in the room. Everyone laughed and danced until the wee hours and it was the most beautiful day for an April wedding. Love these two lovebirds so much and had so much fun being a part of their day! xo

Brittany + Jon Love the Dress Anniversary Photographer

Brittany is the co-owner of Aglow Bridal Store in Kamloops and she is the type of person to get so excited about weddings and dresses and things that are sparkly. When she said that she was disappointed with her wedding photos from 5 years ago and that she wanted to do an anniversary session, I was so excited to be the one chosen to re-do these photos. Jon is so kind and wonderful and he never stops smiling at Brittany – anyone in the wedding industry knows him as one of the behind the scenes guys who is always helping set up + tear down an elaborate wedding! Brittany was so cute throughout the session and although she was a little nervous in front of the camera at the beginning (like most women are) as soon as Jon snuggled her in, she would laugh and smile and just glow with happiness! Brittany is also one of the most generous people I’ve ever met as she’s lent me countless dresses and accessories from her bridal store for stylized shoots. Kamloops brides (and other vendors) are so lucky to have such wonderful people in town who will treat your wedding day as though it is their own!

Caitlin + Kelvin’s wedding day was as dreamy as a fairy tale. Every part of their day was absolutely magical and we were blessed with such a beautiful February day. The sun was shining and it was warm enough for the wedding party to be outside for photos! (I swear these two bring the sunlight with them – as we experienced the same kind of unusual warmth in Calgary for their engagement shoot as well – see those photos here!) I’ve also always been back and forth with “first look” photos until now. I am always up for them when people want to do them, but I have never really felt a pull towards pushing for them; however, this wedding changed that for me! There was something so amazing about their first look and how breathtaking it all was! Tthe looks on both their faces as they saw one another for the first time was truly amazing – and just looking at the photos makes me so happy to have been able to capture it! These two are so wonderful together and they both have such great energy – they were excited and smiling the whole day and there wasn’t even one moment where I couldn’t feel the immense love they share for one another! The love that they received during the speeches and throughout the ceremony and reception from their family and friends was overwhelmingly positive and made me so happy to be able to witness such an incredible event! They two are going have such a long and happy life together! So much love to you both! xo
