Kelly and Colin are that adorable couple who have been dating since high school, and are still just as in love as they were 10 years ago! Colin purposed to Kelly on Christmas day two years ago- so they have had lots of time to plan their ideal wedding. I’m so excited to see the individual touches that Kelly has in store: she has expressed that she would love the tables to be adorned with peacock and ostrich feathers, and a bountiful amount of deep purple and turquoise for the colours. I love it when my brides have their own unique vision for their wedding day and they come up with ideas that are completely special to the two of them. I love how Colin is so thoughtful and attentive towards his bride to be. He proposed while they were on a family vacation to Mexico, and he had decided to give her a ring that had been in his family for years. He had his sister safe keep it for the journey and on the day that he proposed he stopped at a local vendor in Mexico to buy an oyster shell and put the ring in the shell before he proposed. He knew how much Kelly loves diamonds, and that she would love something that was meant just for her, so when they returned home, he had another, special engagement ring just for her! What a keeper! When I first met Bre + Matt they told me that they were born in the wrong era. It’s one of the many things that I like about the two of them because I also feel as though I was born in the wrong era! They are completely unique, and they both have super rad personalities. I love that they like old cars, guns, and tattoos (Bre’s arm of portraits is one of the most spectacular works of art I’ve ever seen), and they have a Husky and a Pomeranian as pets (I love Pomeranians!). To top it all off, they rented the Tranquille Farm Fresh grounds for us to shoot their engagement photos on so that they would have something a little different than everyone else. You have to love that! I’m also sure you’ll notice that Bre is stunningly beautiful and Matt is so ruggedly handsome – could these two get any better? We spent the afternoon taking photos in front of the old buildings, the corn fields, and the incredible back country of the property that has views, fields, a creek and more! These two give me the feels, and I am so stoked to be a part of their engagement photos and their wedding day! So much love to you both! xo
I’ve known Leah through a business networking group that I’ve been joined to for the past 2 years now, and although I’ve heard about her lovely family I had never met them until this shoot! I love that kids in this age group have so much personality and zest for life and Maddy and Callum were no exception! While Callum was out and about picking rocks, Maddy was diligently helping me pick different locations for their photos! We had originally planned the shoot a few days earlier and unfortunately it was a rainy and miserable day so we rescheduled and got this unbelievably beautiful Fall day! I enjoyed getting to know this adorable family in the glorious afternoon sun while they played and had a good time together! You can tell instantly what amazing parents Leah + Alan are because of how awesome their kids are! So polite, so helpful and so flippen cute! Leah is such a genuine and lovely person – you can see it in her smile (I swear she couldn’t take a bad photo if she tried!) and you can see it in their family dynamic!
