Kelly and Colin are that adorable couple who have been dating since high school, and are still just as in love as they were 10 years ago! Colin purposed to Kelly on Christmas day two years ago- so they have had lots of time to plan their ideal wedding. I’m so excited to see the individual touches that Kelly has in store: she has expressed that she would love the tables to be adorned with peacock and ostrich feathers, and a bountiful amount of deep purple and turquoise for the colours. I love it when my brides have their own unique vision for their wedding day and they come up with ideas that are completely special to the two of them. I love how Colin is so thoughtful and attentive towards his bride to be. He proposed while they were on a family vacation to Mexico, and he had decided to give her a ring that had been in his family for years. He had his sister safe keep it for the journey and on the day that he proposed he stopped at a local vendor in Mexico to buy an oyster shell and put the ring in the shell before he proposed. He knew how much Kelly loves diamonds, and that she would love something that was meant just for her, so when they returned home, he had another, special engagement ring just for her! What a keeper! Can not wait to photograph their wedding this summer! So much love to you both!

Deena + Shawn are so amazingly adorable as a couple! I’ve known Deena for a long time now, as she and my sister grew up together loving horses, and the outdoors. When I first met Shawn I knew he was such a great match for Deena. He is also an outdoorsy guy, and has this endearing demeanor about him. What I loved most was every time he gave her a little sideways glance or smile, her smile would get even bigger (if that’s even possible) and the would just radiate love and respect for one another! Deena has the most incredible smile and it’s hard not to smile too just looking at her! They have the most incredible property right outside their back door in Salmon Arm. so it was only fitting to check it out and do a few preliminary shots there – and wow, it’s exactly like a FernGully enchanted forest! I love that these two are up for anything, and I can not wait for their wedding next year! So much love to you both! xo

Jackie + Joe are really adorable people! Having only met them once before, for their engagement session, I knew these things about them for sure: that they had a lot of fun together (they never stopped smiling and giggling together), they were super easy going, and they were a ridiculously cute couple. I knew from their engagement shoot that their wedding day would be carefree, fun and beautiful, and I was right! Their ceremony location was so amazing – set in the middle of a secluded field with a little creek in the background, big beautiful trees surrounding them, and tall wispy grasses blowing in the breeze. What a perfect setting! It was so wonderful being a part of their lovely wedding day – so much love to you both! xo

Colleen + Brent are so many things. They are a fantastic couple, they are wonderful people, they are so much fun and they are so good looking! I first met the two of them over a Skype conversation while they were living in Inuvik, and I knew that I would love being a part of their wedding! Brent’s proposal was unbelievably creative and came as a complete surprise to Colleen! They had both attended a wedding in another part of the country and after she was coming home to Kamloops to spend some time with friend’s and family, while Brent had to go back to Inuvik to work… or so she thought! Instead he had a whole plan laid out. Colleen’s best friend told her that she won a free night at Quaaout Lodge and that they should go out there and have a relaxing girl’s night! When they got there Brent had lit candles everywhere in the room and he was there with a heartfelt speech and proposed! He also got her best friend to record the proposal because he knew she had always wanted a recording of it! What a guy!!! Colleen is so deserving to have found such a wonderful man – she is quite possibly one of the sweetest people I have ever met and she is so organized, thoughtful and kind (and I love that I now call her a friend as well :) Together these two are going to have a life that is as stunning as their wedding day was! Their whole day was so laid back, fun and perfect! Thank you both so much for choosing me to photograph your big day! So much love to you both! xo

Faith is one of those girls who has got it all going on. She’s undeniably stunning, she’s adorable, she’s smart, and to top it all off she’s competing for the title of Miss Teen Canada this summer (plus she’s snagged a pretty good guy – my little brother!) She was such a wonderful model, and she has the ability to just “be” in front of the camera (a quality that I’m sure a lot of us wish we had!) We had so much fun wading through the daisies, placing bug infested flowers in her mouth and swimming in the lake! She’s such a great young lady to spend time with, and I really enjoyed our day together! I wish her all the best in the pageant, and I look forward to more creative shoots in the future! xo

When she contacted me about needing some classic modeling shots for her portfolio, I was so excited to see what we could come up with! It’s undeniable that the camera loves this girl, because every shot was a total winner! Her big blue eyes sparkle in every shot and they just beg to be photographed. Her look is so effortlessly beautiful and she has an effervescent personality that makes it fun to be around her! I could have photographed this pretty lady all day, but instead we’ve planned to do another more creative/editorial shoot outdoors someday soon where I can’t wait to see what else we come up with! I’ve known beautiful Ginene since we worked together for the RedBull Mobile Marketing team. I knew right away that we would get along because Ginene is so friendly, lovable and easy going! I always wanted shifts with her because it always felt like we were getting paid to hang out and just have so much fun! I was sad to leave Vancouver because I knew that I wouldn’t be able to see her pretty face as much, but when I went to meet her and Brian for their shoot, it was like a day hadn’t passed since we had last seen each other! When Ginene got engaged I was so excited for her, and I was even more excited to meet her fiance! I knew that she would snag an amazing guy who complimented her smarts, quirkiness and beauty – and did she ever! I don’t know if I could have pictured her with someone any better than Brian! He’s equally as personable, charming, and of course handsome – and he was full of smiles for and cute comments for his bride to be throughout the shoot! We chose Granville Island because it’s where Brian proposed, and we had so much fun traipsing about the island, dodging seagulls, disrupting cherry blossoms, and posing in parking lots! I love, love, love that you guys were up for anything and I LOVE the way the photos turned out! It was a beautiful afternoon for an amazing shoot and your wedding is going to be such a fun and beautiful day – I absolutely can’t wait! xo

When I first met this gorgeous woman I remembered thinking to myself that this lady must have some incredible heritage because her look is just so unique! Not only is she a prettier version of Pocahontas (during the whole shoot that’s all I could think of, maybe mostly because I always wanted to be like pretty Pocahontas and now here she was in front of me!), but she also has an incredible spirit and an amazing personality. I knew from the beginning that her shoot had to be in the forest – her clothing simple, her look demure and the focus to be all on her, amidst the chaos of the trees, leaves and twigs – but really, how could it not be? Sarah manages to draw the attention of the viewer immediately to her eyes because of her incredibly alluring stare. She is as captivating a lady in person, as she seems in these photographs! I had so much fun having you as my beautiful (and willing) model and I can’t wait until you can be in front of my camera again soon! This shot above was in a pile of sticky pitch leaves – and then later I made her get in the freezing cold river! Thanks lovely for being such a great sport and I had so much fun during our afternoon together! xo

A month ago I held a Facebook Contest for a complimentary photoshoot as a thank you to all my amazing followers, and to give back for everyone’s amazing support for my first year of business in Kamloops! I had SO many people participate, and it was incredible to see how many times some people shared and liked my facebook page: Rozalind Ewashina Photography! After going through alllll the entries, this beautiful young lady was chosen! Billie is actually an aspiring photographer herself, so it was amazing to have someone who loves photography as much as I do, win the contest! Because I had not specified what kind of shoot was up for grabs for the winner, I wasn’t sure what kind of shoot Billie would want… I decided to throw out some ideas that I instantly had when she was chosen, and I asked her if she’d be up for something editorial and kind of weird, and she was 100% on board! I was so incredibly excited that she was down for my crazy creative vision and I was so pumped for the shoot! The super talented, Strut Beauty & Design was also stoked to collaborate with the concept I had in mind, and we went to work, going back and forth between ideas to find the best look for our model! I am absolutely blown away with how much I love the photos from this shoot and am so thankful that Billie was up for our ideas! Billie’s eyes look unbelievably stunning, and she comes across as a powerful, strong, warrior beauty in every shot. She pushed through hail, wind and dirty concrete to get these shots and I am so appreciative of it (it’s not easy being a model people!) Loved, loved, loved this session and can’t wait for my next contest! xo
