When Nicole first contacted me about her and Shane’s wedding, I knew that I was going to love them based on how great she sounded from her emails alone! ! When I sat down to meet with them, I was even more convinced! Nicole is the sweetest (and most stunningly beautiful) person and Shane is so handsome an has a charming twinkle in his eye! A lot of the time I just meet with the brides to discuss their wedding, but Shane came and was such a sweetheart: he was 100% trusting of whatever crazy ideas that Nicole and I were coming up with and he was such a great sport! I could tell that he was just truly excited to marry the woman of his dreams and to give her the day that she wanted! When we planned their engagement shoot we had no idea that Kamloops was going to get a crazy cold streak, so despite the -20 weather that was anticipated for the day we decided to start out at one of my favourite coffee shops in town, Red Beard Roasters to warm their hearts and bodies for the cold shoot ahead. I love how much fun they had just doing something as simple as drinking coffee, and I loved that I never heard even a squeak of a complaint over the cold or the silly things I made them do while in the snow! Nicole is a natural in front of the camera, I swear I couldn’t take a bad picture of her if I tried – which makes me so so so excited to photograph her in her wedding dress! We headed up in to the mountains to find some untouched snow and we had so much fun running to and from our warm vehicles to take pictures, and then back in to the vehicles to warm up that I didn’t even realize how chilly it was outside! If this session was even a little bit indicative of how fun their wedding day will be, I am so unbelievably excited to be a part of it! I can’t wait for your big day! xo
