There are so many amazing things that I could say about Ellice and Curt. I’ve know Ellice now for a few years through mutual friends and past brides. When I saw that she got engaged while she was traveling in Thailand with Curt, I couldn’t have been happier for her. When she messaged to say that she wanted me to photograph their wedding I was even more stoked!!! When she started telling me about how they wanted to do a Gatsby, 1920’s themed cocktail party in a huge mansion at sunset with champagne, canapes and their closest friends, I was ecstatic! Ellice wanted to incorporate 20’s era in to their engagement session as well, and she did a fantastic job with the planning and execution of the whole vibe of the shoot. Looks by Laine topped it all off with hair + makeup that was amazingly perfect for the decade. One of the biggest reasons I love these two is that they are so chill and up for anything. The morning of the shoot there was a crazy downpour that was supposed to last all night. I called Ellice to see if she wanted to reschedule and she said that they would work with the rain if we needed to – and because of her amazing attitude, the rain parted and we had the most delightful evening with gorgeous light and just a light wind. I’m excited beyond words for these two and can’t wait for their wedding next year!
