Randomly enough, Ali and I went to Kindergarten together many moons ago, and she moved to Kamloops shortly after, so of course at that young age, we lost touch – years later my dad (who loves talking and asking questions as much as I do) was doing some work with her dad, and found out Ali was getting married. He gave her my business card and a few days later we were re-connecting and excitedly talking about her wedding! I am so happy to have rekindled with a long lost friend, and hope to become even better friends now that I get to be a part in her important day! When Ali & Travis said they wanted to do their engagement session at an ice skating rink, I was so excited! Hockey and skating are such great Canadian pastimes, and Trav plays in a hockey league, and they both enjoy watching the Canucks, so it seemed like a perfect fit to make our way down to the rink for their photos! The staff at the McArthur Island Sports Centre in North Kamloops were awesome about us using the rink, and even found us a spot where no skaters were to have some fun on the ice! Because it was BC’s first Family Day, there were a lot of skaters enjoying their family time, so we were lucky to get some great shots in both rinks! Ali & Travis are as unbelievably sweet and adorable as they look in this blog post! Travis was willing to do any crazy, adorable, and cutesy photos that Ali and I had in mind, and he was such a gentleman helping tie Ali’s skates, running back to the truck when we forgot things, and overall just being such a great sport! (Did I mention that he’s also a good looking guy with a great smile and charismatic personality?) Then there is Ali, who is such a stunner – her skin is like creamy butter and I was mesmerized with how incredibly beautiful she is both physically and as a person! She has a movie star smile and a humble personality which makes her a top notch person to be around!  These two have such kind hearts, and you can see instantly that their love for one another runs deep. I was so fortunate to spend the day with them, having way too much fun, and I absolutely cannot wait for their summer wedding! It’s going to be such a great day and I am even more excited to be able to spend it with these two amazing people!
