What do you get when you find two people who love skiing as much as they love one another? Lots of laughs, lots of snow and lots of colorful ski gear! Kris + Tyler absolutely love skiing together, and it was so cute hearing them talk about their different gear that they love, and all the different places in the world that they want to ski (Japan being the next on their list!) I loved that throughout the whole session, they had so much fun together! They tried to poke each other with their ski rods, they threw snow at one another, and they had no problem trekking through piles of snow up to our knees to get to a good spot! I know they will lead an exciting, adventure filled life together and I wish them both the very best!

Kelly + Colin Tranquille Creek Engagement

Kelly and Colin are that adorable couple who have been dating since high school, and are still just as in love as they were 10 years ago! Colin purposed to Kelly on Christmas day two years ago- so they have had lots of time to plan their ideal wedding. I’m so excited to see the individual touches that Kelly has in store: she has expressed that she would love the tables to be adorned with peacock and ostrich feathers, and a bountiful amount of deep purple and turquoise for the colours. I love it when my brides have their own unique vision for their wedding day and they come up with ideas that are completely special to the two of them. I love how Colin is so thoughtful and attentive towards his bride to be. He proposed while they were on a family vacation to Mexico, and he had decided to give her a ring that had been in his family for years. He had his sister safe keep it for the journey and on the day that he proposed he stopped at a local vendor in Mexico to buy an oyster shell and put the ring in the shell before he proposed. He knew how much Kelly loves diamonds, and that she would love something that was meant just for her, so when they returned home, he had another, special engagement ring just for her! What a keeper! Can not wait to photograph their wedding this summer! So much love to you both!

Corinna + Tony have a super cute love story, and it involves meeting one another while camping with mutual friends – so naturally for their engagement session we decided to incorporate a camping-like lake situation to re-ignite the spark that they first felt for one another :) Cori has the absolute biggest and most beautiful smile I’ve ever seen, you can’t help but smile when you see it and Tony’s quiet, affectionate nature lends well to Cori’s exuberant personality! These two are having their wedding at Silver Star in Vernon next year (and I’m so excited to finally shoot a wedding there, and couldn’t ask for a better couple to share shooting in a new place with!) When I first met Bre + Matt they told me that they were born in the wrong era. It’s one of the many things that I like about the two of them because I also feel as though I was born in the wrong era! They are completely unique, and they both have super rad personalities. I love that they like old cars, guns, and tattoos (Bre’s arm of portraits is one of the most spectacular works of art I’ve ever seen), and they have a Husky and a Pomeranian as pets (I love Pomeranians!). To top it all off, they rented the Tranquille Farm Fresh grounds for us to shoot their engagement photos on so that they would have something a little different than everyone else. You have to love that! I’m also sure you’ll notice that Bre is stunningly beautiful and Matt is so ruggedly handsome – could these two get any better? We spent the afternoon taking photos in front of the old buildings, the corn fields, and the incredible back country of the property that has views, fields, a creek and more! These two give me the feels, and I am so stoked to be a part of their engagement photos and their wedding day! So much love to you both! xo

I am so beyond excited to be sharing the photos from Al + Chloe’s engagement session, and I am so ecstatic that I get to be a part of their amazing wedding day next year! These two are very good friends of mine, and I always feel so honored when friends choose me to photograph such an important day in their lives! These two are seriously as cute as buttons :) They giggled and laughed and played throughout our whole session, and I love all of the true emotions that came out of them throughout the day! I know Al to be more of a manly man; he’s tall and handsome and well, a man’s man – but he totally embraced the session and was snuggling Chloe in, smiling the biggest at her, and was just so cute towards her the whole session! You can see in the photos that Chloe is absolutely drop dead gorgeous and photographing her was a dream! She is so tiny and cute and just fell in to Al’s arms for some uber romantic photos! She is also one of the sweetest girls I know. These two are just too wonderful together. I love how kind they are to one another and to everyone around them. I have too many good things to say about them both, so I’ll just stop there and say I’m so grateful to be a part of their wedding day, and their lives! So much love to you both! xo

I’ve known Sarah for a few years now and she is such a lovely presence in my life! She’s always got a huge smile on her face (which makes her even more beautiful than she already is) and she is always so organized (which is a trait I always admire in people!) When Sarah told me about her and Brent’s New Year’s Eve wedding I was instantly so excited to photograph it! But first I was even more excited to photograph Sarah again and this time with her handsome fiance Brent! These two are flippen adorable together – we lucked out with the most gorgeous bluebird day and we had so much fun finding a bunch of great locations and just goofing around. Sarah and Brent didn’t stop joking around and laughing the entire shoot which made it so fun and made me that much more excited for their wedding day! So much love to you both and can’t wait to be the photographer for your wedding day! xo

When Kelsy and I first sat down to chat about her wedding day I felt like I had known her for years. She has such a welcoming and friendly nature that you just instantly feel a connection with her! I knew that Bryce was going to be equally as wonderful from all the cute things that Kelsy had told me about him, and about how he proposed (they were on the beach and he kept telling her to look out to the ocean to see the humpback whales so that he could get down on one knee without her noticing!) Their engagement session was on one of the last cold days of winter and we were able to find some beautiful hoar frost and the last remnants of snow to play in! These two are super playful and they didn’t stop giggling the whole time. I also loved that it was a little chilly out and it really gave Bryce an ‘excuse’ to snuggle up to Kelsy to keep her warm! These two are a really great couple and it was so lovely getting to see them interact together, and it made me that much more excited for their wedding day this July!!! So much love to you both! xo

Kelly and Paul are such an incredibly sweet and amazing couple. When I first met them I knew right away that it was going to be so much fun being a part of their wedding because they are so awesome to be around! Although we had planned on having tons of snow everywhere for their engagement shoot, the weather didn’t really co-operate with us, but instead we got a gorgeous bluebird day that really made the views from the top of this mountain pretty spectacular! They brought along their adorable dog Sadie (and what a ridiculously well behaved dog she is – I’ve never had a dog pose so well!) and we just went exploring. These two are just so lovely together and they are probably two of the nicest people I’ve had the pleasure of knowing. I love that you can tell how genuine and heart warming their love is just by looking at the photos of the two of them! There wasn’t a moment where they weren’t smiling from ear to ear at one another! I had so much fun trekking through the woods and the deep snow with you two, I can’t wait for your Tobaino Wedding!!! So much love to you both! xo
