Vancouver Boudoir Photographer
A couple of months ago I went to Vancouver with Stacey Krolow to do a workshop with the uber talented Joao Guedes Photography. Joao does the most beautiful work (seriously – go and check him out! http://joaoguedes.com/ ) and is one of the nicest human beings I have ever had the pleasure of meeting! The workshop was incredible! We chatted about life and art and inspiration and we had so much fun photographing our stunning model Kyla Nichole!
Joao went above and beyond with sharing his talent + knowledge with us, and even photographed both Stacey and I at the end of the workshop (which was such an incredible experience! I am a true believer in “practice what you preach” and I think having my own boudoir sessions are vital for what we do!) It’s always such a humbling experience being in front of the camera, because I go through all of the same things that my clients do. “Dang Roz, why didn’t you work out before this?” “I probably didn’t that extra beer last night, or that ice cream…” “Maybe I’ll just remind him that my boobs aren’t that perky and that they need to be held up by a bra to look good!” You guys, I’m telling you, I do all the same things that you do. Once I hear myself say it though, I try to nix out those nasty thoughts and just be free and have fun! And fun we had! Such a great two days learning from one of the best and getting to experiment and try new things! Thanks again Joao for all of your awesomeness! xo
