Raise a Glass to Yourself
Own Your Wins, Your Fire, Your Year
The New Year is here. You have so much you want to do, your calendars is full, your expectations are high, and the noise can feel relentless. It’s easy to look back at the year and fixate on what didn’t happen, the moments you wished you had handled differently, or the ways you feel you didn’t measure up. It’s also easy to feel overwhelmed and the year hasn’t even started.
Here’s the truth: it’s all completely normal To compare yourself. To replay moments in your mind. But the beginning of a new year is also a time to honor your victories (big or small), your personal growth, and the strength that carried you through it all.
This year, don’t just give to others. Give yourself permission to check in with you first. It won’t feel natural or easy, and will take some work to put in to practice - but start small. One intention could be the start to how you feel at the end of the 2026 year.
I’ll share my intention for the year with you (and I’m not going to lie when I read it - I wasn’t happy about it being the last one standing - for context I did a 13 intention burning ritual at the beginning of the year) It didn’t feel exciting, or transformative. It just felt like something I knew I needed to keep prioritizing. But as I sat with it, I realized that all of my other intentions or goals come from this one simple intention. And that it’s not actually all that simple. It’s a practice that I have to work at. I have to make time for, and I have to slow down to accept. So be kind with yourself. Maybe you don’t need to ‘add’ but rather you need to subtract or refine in order to really set your intention.
”I prioritize my health and well being daily through meditation, movement, nourishment and mindful pauses to support my overall well being.”
Honor your personal journey
Take a moment to truly acknowledge everything you’ve experienced this past year — the wins, the struggles, the lessons, and the resilience it took to keep going. Your journey is valid. Your effort matters. Your growth matters.
Write down a few moments you’re proud of, even if they seem small. The times you stood up for yourself. The challenges you overcame. The choices that honored your authenticity. These are proof that you have advanced or grown even when it felt hard. As the year of the Snake comes to an end I invite you to shed whatever is no longer serving you.
Create your personal celebration space
Find a quiet corner or any spot that feels like your little sanctuary. Light a candle and grab a notebook. It might feel a little strange the first time, and that’s totally okay - it gets easier with practise, and it’s so cathartic to write freely. As 2026 (the year of the Horse) is fast approaching (Feb 17th is it’s official first day) I want to invite you to revel in what this year will bring, It’s a time of bold action, new experiences and forward momentum, This can be big or small, professional or personal - but know that this is your moment. Honor everything you’ve accomplished and experienced, and soak in just how far you’ve come.
Raise your glass to YOU
Let this toast be a declaration of your power and presence. Say it out loud, whisper it, or just hold it in your heart:
"I am powerful. I am worthy. I am enough exactly as I am. I have grown. I have survived. I am here to shine my light.”
This is more than a ritual; it’s an act of unapologetic self-celebration.
Your reminder
Your energy matters. Your light matters. Your badass self matters.
You are fierce. You are unstoppable. And no matter how you reflect on this year, you’re already doing the work - you’ve grown (whether you like it or not!) and you’ve earned the right to celebrate yourself fully.
Raise that metaphorical glass. This is your toast — to you, your story, and your unstoppable power.
