Rouble Family

I had only met Brian’s adorable family a handful of times in passing, but I knew if they were anything like Brian, they would be genuine, easy going, wonderful people to spend an afternoon with, and I couldn’t have been more right! Brian and Kate’s boys are both SO intelligent, adorable and caring. I arrived at their house a little early and I’m so glad I did because I was invited in, and I was able to watch the boys interact with one another while Mom, Dad and Grandma finished getting ready. I absolutely love lifestyle sessions with families because it gives you a snapshot of a day in the life of the family! Ty is already an avid reader and also knows how to write the alphabet (and he’s not even in school yet!) and Paxton is inquisitive, playful and knowledgeable about trains! I loved the organic nature of their home and their relationship with one another – such an open, unique and loving home! We spent the day running around on their beautiful property at Monte Lake, with lots of hugs, tickles, animals and candid moments! I loved that Brian’s mom was a part of the photos because Grandma’s (especially awesome ones like theirs) play such an important role in our lives, and it was visible how much these boys love having their Grandma around! I was honestly grinning ear to ear after I left this session because I knew I had captured so many wonderful moments with this family. Love to you all, and I can’t wait to see how talented and handsome these boys grow up to be! xo

I think I love the in between photos the most – everyone just being themselves is always entertaining!

This is my favorite photo for sure! So much love and so much fun! :)

Jenny & Jessee

When I first met Jenny and Jessee I knew right away that I was going to love being a part of their day! They both were so adorable – both with one another and just on their own! The way Jessee smiled at Jenny and the way Jenny just smiled being around him. So, so cute.  Because they lived out of town when I first got their inquiry, I of course wanted to see who I was talking to – so I went to look at their profiles on good old Facebook. In every single picture they were just so darn happy, and the way that they looked at each other in the photos made me positive I was going to love their wedding day, and I couldn’t have been more right! It was a beautiful May Long weekend, with no rain, lots of beautiful skies, warm weather, and a bunch of amazing people coming together to make their wedding day complete. Jessee might take the cake for the outwardly happiest groom I’ve ever photographed. On the way home from the wedding I realized my face was sore from smiling so much and when looking through their photos, I caught myself again with a huge grin the entire time, because it truly was wonderful just being in the presence of such happiness! Jenny is so incredibly beautiful and is insanely photogenic (I don’t think I caught her blinking or awkwardly talking even once!) but on top of that they are two of the most genuine people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. After meeting both their families though, I know exactly where they got their wonderful personalities from; their happy, proud and personable parents! It was a wonderful day filled with a gorgeous, loving, incredible couple, delicious food, amazing entertainment, emotional toasts and of course lots of photos! Enjoy a sneak peek of some of my favorites from their day! xox

Jenny & Jessee decided to do a “first look” and their formal photographs before the ceremony so that their guests wouldn’t have that gap between the events of their day. We had perfect weather and I loved all the emotion that they had for one another in these first few moments of seeing each other!

Most incredibly, touching, emotional and amazing speeches I’ve ever heard at a wedding. I may have shed a tear of two for this wedding!

Sawyer Martin

I first met Bri and Shayne at a fun get together, a few summer’s ago at my parent’s place. They were friend’s of my sister’s, so instantly I knew they would become friends of mine! Shayne is someone you will never forget because he has the most infectious laugh I’ve ever heard in my life – if you hear it, there’s nothing else you can do but get a huge smile on your face and laugh along with him! Bri, his beautiful wife, is not only effortlessly beautiful, but is also intelligent, kind and loving.  I’ve been lucky to get to know them even better over the past year because they are my boyfriend’s best friends (I met my lovely boyfriend at that same party :) and I can now say they are also good friends of mine! When Bri announced she was pregnant we were all so ecstatic for them! Sawyer was the perfect addition to the group! Although I love cute little babies, I don’t normally photograph them, (they don’t tend to listen as well as older children or people do!), I couldn’t resist doing some photos of Sawyer for them to cherish! I felt so honored to see him at only 7 days old, and to share in the love that this family has for one another! I can’t wait to see him grow in to a handsome young man, and to hopefully be known to him as fun Aunt Roz :) Love you all! xo

Sarah Sparrow

When I first met this gorgeous woman I remembered thinking to myself that this lady must have some incredible heritage because her look is just so unique! Not only is she a prettier version of Pocahontas (during the whole shoot that’s all I could think of, maybe mostly because I always wanted to be like pretty Pocahontas and now here she was in front of me!), but she also has an incredible spirit and an amazing personality. I knew from the beginning that her shoot had to be in the forest – her clothing simple, her look demure and the focus to be all on her, amidst the chaos of the trees, leaves and twigs – but really, how could it not be? Sarah manages to draw the attention of the viewer immediately to her eyes because of her incredibly alluring stare. She is as captivating a lady in person, as she seems in these photographs! I had so much fun having you as my beautiful (and willing) model and I can’t wait until you can be in front of my camera again soon! This shot above was in a pile of sticky pitch leaves – and then later I made her get in the freezing cold river! Thanks lovely for being such a great sport and I had so much fun during our afternoon together!  xo
